Privacy Policy

The short version

GeeLenny collects the information you give us when you submit a review — your name, email, wedding details, and a piece of proof — so we can verify you're a real couple before publishing anything. We only publish your name(s), rating, review text, city, and date. We never publish your email or your proof document, we never sell your information to anyone (especially not to vendors), and you can ask us to delete what we have on you at any time.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to geelennyweddings.ca, operated by GeeLenny Wedding Vendor Reviews ("GeeLenny," "we," "us"). It explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you submit a review through our site, we collect:

• Your name(s)
• Your email address
• Your wedding date and city/province
• The vendor's name and category
• Your star rating and written review
• A photo or a redacted receipt/contract, submitted as proof that you're a real couple with a real experience

If you email us directly (for example, to list your business or ask a question), we receive whatever information is in that email. If you contact a vendor directly through a link on our site, that exchange happens between you and the vendor — we don't see or store it.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability purposes. We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies; if that changes, we'll update this policy to reflect it.

How we use your information

We use what you submit to verify that your review reflects a real experience with a real vendor before we publish anything — this is core to how GeeLenny works, since we never publish a review we can't verify. We may also use your email to contact you if we have a question about your submission, and we keep basic records for our own accountability.

What actually gets published

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone — including the vendors you review. We do use a small number of outside services to run the site, and your information passes through them as part of that:

• Formspree — processes and delivers review submissions to us
• Netlify — hosts the website itself

These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if genuinely required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep submitted information only as long as reasonably necessary to verify a review and maintain our own records, after which it's deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see below.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what information we have about you, correct anything that's inaccurate, or delete your information entirely. Deleting your underlying submission doesn't necessarily remove an already-published review — since GeeLenny's whole promise is that we don't take down honest reviews on request — but it does remove your private contact information and proof document from our records. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including relying on reputable third-party providers for hosting and form processing. That said, no online system is completely immune to risk, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

Our site links out to vendor websites, contact forms, and social media profiles (like Instagram). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them — we'd encourage you to check their policies before sharing information there.

Children's privacy

GeeLenny is a wedding vendor review site intended for adults planning their own weddings. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GeeLenny grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
